Introduction and purpose of the Privacy Policy

As part of the operation of our website, we process personal data in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (the “General Data Protection Regulation” or “GDPR”) and under the conditions set out below.

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. We collect and process personal data exclusively for the purpose of providing our services or communicating about them, in strict compliance with the GDPR.

We collect only personal data that is adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. By registering on the EDT website, you authorize us to process your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Management of personal data

Users are informed of regulations concerning marketing communications, the French Law of 21 June 2014 on Confidence in the Digital Economy, the French Data Protection Act of 6 August 2004, and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation No. 2016-679).

As data controller, EDT undertakes to comply with all applicable legal provisions, including the French Data Protection Act and the GDPR, which has been applicable since 25 May 2018.

EDT takes all reasonable measures to ensure that personal data is accurate, relevant and appropriate for the purposes for which it is processed.

1.2 Purpose of data processing

EDT may process all or part of the following data:

  • To prevent and combat IT fraud (spamming, hacking, etc.): hardware used for browsing, IP address, hashed passwords

  • To improve website navigation: connection and usage data

Users may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French supervisory authority) or, for users located in Poland, with the UODO (Polish Data Protection Authority).

1.4 Data disclosure

EDT undertakes not to transfer personal data outside the European Union without prior information. EDT selects its subcontractors based on sufficient GDPR guarantees.

No sensitive data is collected. Personal data may be processed by EDT subsidiaries or service providers strictly for the purposes described above.

2. Security incident notification

Despite all efforts, no system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach, EDT will notify affected users and comply with all legal obligations.

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

The website uses cookies to improve navigation and user experience. Users may configure their browser to accept or refuse cookies.

Cookies may also be placed by third-party services such as social networks, subject to user consent.

3.1 Data retention period
